U/S results ; confused and very worried ; baby's kidneys

I had a pretty normal pregnancy with no real complications .. Our baby's growth appears also normal.. We're really worried as she said that because it seems to be getting worse, we need to go again next week and they wouldn't suggest to let me go past 38 weeks ? And she is getting me an appointment with a pediatric urologist for more informations about this condition as she didn't think it would go away on its own .. We're also concerned about the risks of Down's Syndrome .. I'm 31 and this is my second pregnancy .. Now I have this report in my hands, I can see my ob/gyn only next wednesday , and I can't help it but cry because I don't know how critical this condition is ... It would really help me if someone could advise me in the meantime on how critical this is and how related to Down's Syndrome this is ?
