34 weeks and oh, so numb!From: Jordan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 18 Oct 2002 19:56:47 -0500 (CDT)
Hello- I was reading in the archives, and there was info. on numbness, but I am wondering what I can do about it. I am 34 weeks and last night I was up almost all night with a numb left leg. Considering by this point in the pregnancy my dr. has reccommended I sleep on my left side, it's been hard to try and sleep on a numb leg! I tried all kinds of stuff- to "wake it up"- walking on it, massaging it, elevating it, stretching it- no success. The numbness has continued today, but hasn't bothered me as much since I'm not trying to sleep. There doesn't appear to be any swelling or redness, it's just NUMB! I can walk just fine, but I am afraid I'm in for another uncomfortable night! Any suggestions on what I can do to possibly get some sleep? Thanks a bunch. -Jordy
