Thread like tissue, early ominous sign at 6 weeks LMP?From: kathleen (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 15 Oct 2002 18:05:20 -0500 (CDT)
I am 38 years old and have a normal, healthy 4 1/2 yr old girl. I have had recurrent miscarriage (blighted ovum, One Down's) over the last several years, and am now 6 weeks pregnant and have been supplementing with progesterone (200 mg 1x per day) for five days. My hormone levels have been increasing as follows: Date HCG Progesterone 4 wks LMP 97 24.1 48 hrs later 221 20.1 72 hrs later 881 27.0 Today I had an ultrasound and didn't see much more than a sac, but it was the older machine, and the doc said before we started that he didn't expect to see a fetal pole yet. Questions: 1)In one week, we should, right (7 wks LMP) ? 2)I saw two or three thread like strands of tissue on the toilet paper (several hours after ultrasound). Might this be normal and a result of ultrasound? COULD it be normal? or is it a rather ominous sign? I have no spotting at all. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!
