Many women have episodes during their pregnancy when their appetite is out of control, both too much and too little. It virtually always corrects itself in time. Unless you are actually starving to death (in the literal sense of the the word), or have pre-existing chronic nutritional deficiencies, the baby is unlikely to be affected in any material way. However, it would be best to plan some nutritious, small meals rather then just eating some ice cream, and have the stuff ready to hand when you wake up.
