Echinacea for acneFrom: SV (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 14 Oct 2002 22:54:21 -0500 (CDT)
Like many others, I have experienced bad acne during my pregnancy and am desperate to try anything that will help alleviate it. I have found a natural anti-bacterial gel that contains (per gram) - echinacea 100mg, tea tree oil 40mg, myrrh 20mg and golden seal 10mg. I know that echinacea should be avoided orally, but would topically in this dosage be OK? Otherwise, is erythromycin the best alternative? Thanks for your help.
