When you're pregnant, they expect the HCG level to double every 48 hours or so. Since you've spotted he wants several counts to determine how you're progressing. Many women spot - especially if it's light and you weren't cramping - and go on to delivery. Try not to worry, you're just going to have to wait a few days for good news.
