Chronic bleeding in pregnancyFrom: Cath (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 29 Sep 2002 08:46:40 -0500 (CDT)
My daughter in law is pregnant with her first baby. At 19 weeks, she is on bedrest and has been bleeding from the beginning. The only abberation in her US is a "small" (whatever that means) chorioamniotic separation. The membrane between placenta and amniotic sac is filled with amniotic fluid, but the MD thinks it is non-contributory to the bleeding. She is now seeing the MD weekly and the baby is growing, moving, and thriving nicely. He re-started progesterone injections last week, but she hasn't noticed any difference yet. It's especially frustrating to us since she is on the west coast, with no family present and I am on the east. My great fear is of the separation becoing an abruption. Have ya'll had cases like this? With good outcomes? Any replies will be greatly appreciated. Cath
