Hello, Two weeks ago I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks pregnant, one day after seeing the heartbeat on an ultrasound. I have read that the chances of miscarriage decrease to 5% after detecting the heartbeat, and I am just wondering why that is? I know all the possible causes of miscarriage, but I am having a hard time knowing that there was such a small chance after seeing the heartbeat and not knowing why! Please explain to me why the chances decrease so greatly. Thank you so much in advance for your time. Sincerely, J.
