If your cycles are 31-32 days long then you probably ovulate no earlier than day 15 or day 16 (assuming a luteal phase - second part of menstrual cycle - of 16 days). However, if you have an average luteal phase of 14 days then you probably ovulate around day 17 or day 18.

If by 10 days past menses, you mean day 10 (day 1 being first day of your period) then it is probably too early. However, in a couple days your cervical mucus will probably continue to change from lotion like to more lubricative or egg white and then it will be closer to the day you probably ovulate. Sorry, can't be more precise.

Sperm can live in ideal conditions in the cervix up to 5 days before ovulation.

Chance of getting pregnant when having sex within 2 days of ovulation is about 30% if I remember correctly, but that is a general average.
