Bleeding during 16th week of pregnancy

Hi again! I am following up to my message on Sept 8 because I just was informed by the hospital that the tissue I passed in the ER was never sent to Pathology it was discarded. Therefore we will never have any information on what it was. My next concern is that it has now been a week and a half and I am still bleeding dark, almost black blood. The doctor has not wanted to see me until the 27th of this month. Should I be concerned?
