Re: Pregnant with low beta levelsFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 13 Sep 2002 14:20:08 -0500 (CDT)
I believe that beta levels that double around every 60 hours are normal...you should request at least one or two more serial betas to check your levels...they may nomalize, or they may drop off...in which case you will start bleeding and miscarry. Also, I think it is still too early for them to visualize an embryo (around 2000 is usually when one can be visualized)...but if they don't find a sac, you should be aware it may be ectopic...and a totally different protocol will need to be followed. I have had a miscarriage and 2 ectopic pregnancies...so I have been around the block a time or two. Hope this helps, but I know the feeling of helplessness you must be feeling right now. Be good to yourself. Mrs. J
