The clogged/painful feeling could be congestion, not an infection, and could remain until delivery as your doctor suggests. Augmentin is better than amoxicillin (actually it IS amoxicillin with a "chaser" added). If you do see the ENT, he/she is in the best position to advise you on the tube, not an OB/GYN.
