5 miscarriages: Is there anything else we should be doing? From: Kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 7 Sep 2002 16:50:42 -0500 (CDT)
I had 3 early miscarriages, then went to a fertility specialist. He removed a growth from my uterus and put me on Parlodel to stop lactation which I had no idea I had. Iwas released to try again 2/4/92 and was pregnant by March. Hormone levels for that pregnancy were good, but I had an enlarged yolk sack and the heart beat was really slow. I miscarried on Mother's Day. The doctor just told us to try again. I learned I was pregnant on August 12, but learned by Aug 15 that my HCG and Progesterone were going down rather than up. I started bleeing on Aug 19. Again, the doctor told me just to try again and didn't even want to see me in his office. My husband and I have had chromosome testing and taken a round of antibiotics. I was also tested for lupus and had a few other blood tests, but everything has come out normal. I am not satisfied with just "trying again" and again and again. It's not that easy. Are there other tests we should be having or any procedures we could try? I want to be as aggressive as possible. My fertility specialist comes highly recommended and is highly respected in his field, but he doesn't seem too interested in finding the problem and fixing it. Any suggestions?
