Ovarian cyst and double twisted ovary at 14th weekFrom: Lisa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 31 Aug 2002 16:53:20 -0500 (CDT)
Hi Dr's. Just a general question. I was 14 weeks pregnant and ended up with two large "water" cysts on my right ovary which caused it to double twist (VERY PAINFUL INDEED!). I had a laproscopy and the cysts were removed but once there they found that my fallopian tube on the right side was damaged and ended up removing a portion of it. I am now about 38 weeks and was generally wondering if this is going to affect my health at a later stage. I know that the eggs released on this side have no where to go so what will happen to them? Do they just "dissolve" and is this going to be really painful when I ovulate on my right side? Also, I will only be able to get pregnant from eggs released on my left side. Is it common that each month you ovulate on a different side? thanks for the help!
