Dana,

I had a lot of ligament pain with my second pregnancy and it started fairly early too (I think about 4 months I think). When it first started, I couldn't even stand up and called the doctor at 9:30pm on a Saturday because I was sure I was dying (thought something had exploded inside me almost). Said it was ligament pain and to take a warm bath and go to bed. I was miserable for days until my doctor finally told me to get a babyhugger (http://www.babyhugger.com). A what? It's a girdle like underwear with a strap that goes from the belly up over the shoulders, criss cross across the back and then around under the belly (hard to explain). It really helped, but I had some sharp ligament pain sometimes the rest of the pregnancy.

So it sounds like this could be ligament pain for you. Interestingly I never had ligament pain with the first, but I am 5 years older now and getting closer to 40 so maybe that's why I had so much this one. Hang in there because I know you are miserable!
