Hello, I am 13-14 weeks pregnant. This is my 4th pregnancy. I have experienced round ligament pain before, but I am not sure if this is it. This morning at 10:15 am I had some very very discomfortable pains in my abdomen. I thought at first it may have been some gas pain (I have been suffering from constipation). I hobbled to the rest room to see if I could releive the pain. Eventhough I did have my first soft stool in about 10 weeks the pain persisted. I was wondering if it could be a hernia (only guessing) but I have not done anything exstrenuous. So I decided to wait it out. The pain subsided slightly but was still hindering my ability to walk and do everyday activities. I even decided to take a nap around 1:00pm for and hour. To my surprise when I awoke the pain was greater. Very dificult to get out of bed and still difficult to walk. I decided to call my Healthy pregnancy program and they said sounds like round ligament pain. So I decided to shrug it off. it is now 7:00pm same day I am still uncomfortable while typing this, though the discomfort is not at the level it was earlier in the day. My understanding and experience is that RLP is momentary and spuratic, therefore; I am wondering if I should be concerned. I appologize for the length of the note and appreciate any input.
