Not a doc, but it is possible to breastfeed an adopted baby, although you may need help with a supplementer (and not a bottle- but a thin plastic tube that goes alongside your breast and nipple). Contact your ob's office, or your local La leche League for advice and guidance on how to get the process started. You will need to start getting ready long before baby arrives.

A good book resource is the Breastfeeding Book by William and Martha Sears, as well.
