12 week miscarriage not chromosomalFrom: Becca (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 25 Aug 2002 14:05:02 -0500 (CDT)
At age 22 I had a healthy girl. I'm 33 and lost my baby at 12 weeks. I carried 15 weeks (missed miscarriage). We had the fetus tissue tested and the baby was chromosonally perfect. Because of this fact and the length of the unsucessful pregnancy (12 wks), do you recommend any testing on me now? We want to conceive again soon, and I want to be as proactive as possible. (We did not think to have the placenta tested, so there is no information from that.) If no testing is necessary now, what tests need to be run in my next pregnancy? Statistically, I can't make sense of this loss. Thanks.
