In my experience (2 kids nursed for 18 months each) colostrum is pale yellow in color and thicker. Breastmilk kinda looks like skim milk except it will separtate when allowed to sit. Yes after weaning both my kids my milk apearred to return to something that looked like colostrum (it was clear/yellowish). I still think that I can express a drop of this liquid today a year after my youngest was weaned. Hope this info help, Nancy
