Re: 37 wks and confused about c-section vs inductionFrom: Nancy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 18 Aug 2002 15:23:10 -0500 (CDT)
Daphne..hi, i was in your situation with my son, only I'd already had 1 section and was hoping for a vbac. I would truly advise you against trying the induction. I did and it was a long haul that didn't work in the end I headed back to the OR anyway. Nothing worse than trying so hard for spmething and then having to have the section...if I had to do it again I would have stuck with my scheduled section and not pushed so hard to try the vbac. If your body isn't ready it just isn't ready. And besides if your baby is big you may end up with the section anyway...my daughter was 12 lbs so after a long hard labour I had my first section. At 36 weeks she was 8.2lbs but in my case no one suggested the section at that time. I wish you all the best of luck, Nancy
