I was diagnosed with a sub-chorionic hematoma...and I am going to see a perinatologist next tuesday. All Ultrasounds have shown the babies are fine, HB's fine etc. My OB does not really seem very concerned and says that it should resolve on its own but I am very cautious and getting a second opinion. I was told to take it very easy...so I have been on semi-bedrest and I am not supposed to lift anything over a gallon of milk. My OB said the more I do the more I will bleed and I do find that the more active I am the more I bleed. I have had two heavy bleding episodes and my last was several weeks ago..but I still continue to spot brown which I was told was old bood. There is a website re: this condition it is http://www.angelfire.com/home/joeynrobin/subchorionic.hematoma.html I'm not sure what causes this condition and I really don't think there is anything that can be done to get rid of the clots besides taking it easy...but I will find out more on Tuesday when I talk to the high risk Dr. If you want you can email me directly and I will let you know what the Dr. says on Tuesday.
