BARBARA: About having a tubal during c-sectionFrom: had (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 3 Aug 2002 07:19:10 -0500 (CDT)
I had a tubal done also during a c-section, IF I had known what it would do to my body I NEVER would have had it done! I could list MANY terribly increased monthly menses from this. Some Dr's agree and are familiar about PTS (Post Tubal Syndrome) and that it is a real problem, other Dr's believe it is all in our heads and don't want to deal with it; I urge you to search out information regarding this tubal prior to having it done, also I always had regular menses and after (been over 5 yrs now) I NEVER know when it will be, 19-27 days. This is minor compared to the extreme problems I have incurred,I am on more medicine to help alleviate the PMS. I am not saying having it done during the c-section is what caused it, HAVING it done period is the cause. It is such a drastic step, make sure you are armed with all the knowledge you can attain. Also find out what kind of tubal your Ob-Gyn may perform, as I changed my mind a few yrs after because of the increase in problems in PTS and found out I am irreversible, and must continue to suffer. Please do research, you will be surprised what you learn, and just may change your mind. Sincerely, Post just out of concern for you.
