Fast labor..Running out of timeFrom: Susan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 2 Aug 2002 18:39:29 -0500 (CDT)
I am expecting my forth child and I am scared to death I won't mke it to the hospital in time. My first two children were normal ( to me) 14 hour labor, epidural, water broke at home...ect. In my 3rd pregnancy it was totally different. I had false labor constantly, horrible pelvic pain, and no sleep the last three weeks. On the night I went into labor, from start to finnish was a total of 2 hours, with only 45 minutes in the hospital. I was not given a epidural or anything for that matter and to top it off she was born face up and got stuck, it was a horrible experience. I am now in my 38th week and it is the same, no sleep, contractions....I can't sleep and I worry all night long. I have talked to my doctor and all the nurses and let them know how I feel but they seem to just ignor me. Even today at my appointment they did not check my cervix to see if I am dialating, to date I have only been checked once. Is it possible to have a even shorter labor than 2 hours? Please comment....I am running out of time... I just want to know if I have any options...Thank you, Susan
