hormone levelsFrom: Tamara (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 31 Jul 2002 20:30:44 -0500 (CDT)
I know that higher levels of estrogen & or progesterone can cause breast enlargement, darkening of the areolas and Montgomery's tubercles, but what are other things that they cause? What are the symptoms of hormone imbalances in general? I guess my main question is, what specific symptoms of pregnancy can be caused by an abnormal level of estrogen & progesterone outside of pregnancy? Could a high level of estrogen or progesterone be the cause of blue veins appearing in the chest area? Thank you.
