I am 38 weeks today with my second baby. This baby is transverse, head right, spine up (moved from head down a week ago). On ultraound a week ago baby was measuring 7lbs, fluid level 19. I saw my dr on Monday and she said she will do an ecv followed by immediate induction (to prevent turning back and also due to diabetic pregnancy and babies size). She did an internal and found that I was no longer dilated or soft (was 1cm and soft 10 days before when baby was head down). She decided to hold off on the ecv and I see her on Friday to see if I am more "favorable for induction" and then schedule the ecv/induction. I have read that ecv should be done between 37 and 39 weeks and once baby is more than 8lbs the chances of success are cut in half. I am worried that my dr is waiting too long and no giving me the best chance and a vaginal birth. Thanks, Melissa
