can stress and crying prevent conception or harm a fetus

My husband and I are currently posted overseas, living on the local economy. Our tour here is over and we come home to the states next February (woohoo). In the meantime, we are getting fertility treatments here because it is much cheaper here than in the states. We did get pregnant, but miscarried a few months ago.

We have been having some neighbor problems that have escalated to an extent that I do not feel safe leaving or entering my home without someone with me, which severly limits my ability to live my life. I'm in tears or on the verge of tears much of the time this last few weeks over this situation. Since we have so little time left in country, we cannot move to another home. Because no physical harm has come to us, there's nothing that can really be done, not that we trust the local police force that much anyway.

I had an ultrasound on Monday and am all set to ovulate, everything looks great. I wonder, however, if the stress of my neighbor situation can prevent us from conceiving or if I do get pregnat harm the fetus in anyway.
