I am currently 12 weeks pregnant and had a very hard first couple weeks. When I found out I was pregnant I was taking celexa for anxiety and panic attacks. For some reason it stopped working and I became very nervous. My doctor switched me to paxilcr and told me I could take up to .5mg of xanex until I had switched medicines and started feeling better. I took the xanex everyday for about 2 weeks never going over .5 mgs. I feel better on the paxil and only need 12.5 mg. Is it safer to use a lower dose of paxil than say 25mg. Also do you think I did any damage to the baby? I have also been very sick throwing up every day 1-3 times for 6 weeks. Yesterday and today are the first days I've managed to keep all me food down. Do you think the morning sickness hurt the baby? I took the drug zofran for the nasuea. I hate taking all this medicine but it seems very nec. I don't drink, smoke, drink caffine, I want the best for my baby, but it seems I really need these drugs to stay sane. I'm just nervous because they say the first couple weeks are when all the developing is happing. Any input on my situation would be great. Thank you!
