Anonymous, Generally fertility treatments would be more costly, especially since there is usually more than one attempt, and success is not guaranteed. Insurance rating is not based on the experience of one individual but rather a class of individuals. Since your policy does not cover fertility treatments it is pointless to file a lawsuit, and no competent attorney would take the case. What you CAN do is speak with your state legislators and lobby for mandated coverage in your state. Many years ago a friend of mine did this in Massachusetts and was successful. Good luck!
