I am 11 weeks pregnant and suffer from panic and anxiety disorder. My doctor switched me from celexa to paxil because the celexa was not working anymore since I got pregnant. He gave me the okay to use my xanex until I started to feel better. But told me not to use more than .5mg a day. I used it every day for about 1 to 2 weeks while I was going through this transition but now I am tapering off. I was curious if this xanex usage could cause birth defects since I used it when every thing was developing? Hopefully now that I am getting used to my new medicine I will feel better. Any info would be great. Thank you.
