Hello, I have read this site before, I hope someone can answer and that a doctor can answer as well. My mother, thinking she has her period, was cramping and bleeding, "passed" something the size of a large marble, took it to the ER, and was told it was a miscarriage. Now it had happened to me. I too am bleeding, thought it was my period, I awoke early morning to cramps and pain and took some midol. Later that day when I awoke again, I passed something made me think of my mother. It looks like tissue in a way and I took it to the ER. They first took urine to do a pregnancy test and then did pelvic swabs and took blood by pricking my finger. Before they even sent the swabs and blood droplet down, the urine test for Preg came back negative so they sent me home. I am uneasy with this and think that more should have been done. Today is Thursday, and exactly a week ago I was very ill for about 23 hours where I was weak, light headed, and vomiting up only stomach acids. If I was pregnant, and the embryo died a week ago, and I just passed it, would the pregnancy hormones show up a week later? Or would the preggo hormones be gone as I suspect? The doctor was gruff, and had no bedside manner. I had just started birth control pills, and this was my first scheduled period with the pills. So he was blowing me off EVEN THOUGH we all know it's possible to get preggo on birth control. I put it in my fridge to preserve it like Mom said until I find out what to do. Is it possible I miscarried??? Elizabeth
