36 weeks preg w/twins-cervix not yet softened or shortenedFrom: LANA (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 18 Jul 2002 18:00:12 -0500 (CDT)
I am 36 weeks pregnant with twins (second pregnancy-last one ten years ago). My doc checked my cervix today and said it was still quite long and not yet softening. She also said she could feel one of the babies heads. What does all of this mean? If I am this far along with twins shouldn't my cervix be shortening and softening? How long does this process usually take? I'm kind of worried that this may cause me to have a c-section (as of right now both babies are head down) or induction of labor. Thanks for any info you can pass my way! Lana
