--An ultrasound is probably the only thing that will make you feel better at this point. Your symptoms could be related to a lot of different things but my opinion you should get a second opinion so you would know one way or another, and if you are pregnant, begin regular prenatal care. The doctor should have by now (if you're 6 mo.) been able to feel the height of your fundus (top of uterus) and noticed if it was enlarging or not and also a fetal heart tone. If the doctor has not looked for these signs of pregnancy, then you should go elsewhere. If he/she has looked for these signs but they don't indicate that you are pregnant then you need to consider the possibility that you are not. Generally, the top of the uterus reaches your navel by 5 mo. - some women are "huge" by that point and others barely showing at all so weight gain or abdominal size may not have anything to do w/ the pregnancy. -Christie
