stretch marksFrom: Victoria (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 14 Jul 2002 20:01:12 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I hope you all had a great weekend. My doc says I'll be 15 weeks along tomorrow. I have countless stretch marks all over me from developing all at once as a teen. The problem is that now that I'm pregnant I'm getting more, but in odd places. There are a lot on my breasts as usual and only a few on my belly so far, but my lower back never had any before and suddenly there are a ton of them all horizontal. they are white and raised right now (mine usually start raised up and white, then turn reddish and purple as they indent upon further stretching and eventually fade to white again). I also have them going horizontally on my hips now when my old ones in that area were vertical. It's uncomfortable, but tolerable. My question is whether it's normal or not to have stretch marks not on the belly and breasts? I've tried lotions and all that, but my skin just seems to be prone to them. I expected to get them, just not in these places... Thanks for any insight you can offer:o).
