I am about 10 weeks pregnant and very constipated. I am currently taking Zofran for my stomach but I believe it has caused me to be very constipated. I literally have not used the restroom in a week. I don't like laxatives because they give me horrible cramping even in low doses. I'm trying to eat bran but with my morning sickness it's hard to do. I drank about 8 oz of prune juice last night with my nose pitched only to throw it up about 5 minutes later. Is it dangerous to go this long with out using the restroom. It feels as though my system has shut down although the baby is right on target looking healthy in my last two sonograms. What should I do? There is a new fiber solution by elax that dissolves clear is this as gentle as the other fiber solutions. Is it okay to use when pregnant? Any info whould be great. Thank you!
