Getting PG SHORTLY after giving birth!!From: Nancy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 14 Jul 2002 13:33:11 -0500 (CDT)
Hello. My son was born June 16/02 and we are VERY interested in TTC#3 ASAP. My question to you is this...4 weeks have gone by since Josh was born and no AF.(I am NOT BF and Lochia stopped at 2 weeks PP). How long should I wait before doing an HPT? What is the average time for your first AF after birth...I seem to remember it was 4 weeks after my DD was born. I have PCOS and have needed drug treatments to concieve BOTH of my children. I started taking Metformin shortly after Josh's birth to get things regulated again and since I have never taken met alone without Clomid I have no idea whether it is strong enough on it's own to make me O...If I hadn't been taking the met I wouldn't even be considering the possibility that I could be PG again so soon. Any help you could give me would be very greatly appreciated...I know this may sound like a very mundane question but I would really like to have a few answers before I head off to my 6 week check-up with my OB. Thanks!
