Vistaril (Hydroxyzine Pamoate) for morning sickness during First TrimesterFrom: Sierra (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 14 Jul 2002 13:15:24 -0500 (CDT)
I developed severe morning sickness around my 7th week of pregnancy and my OBGYN prescribed Vistaril, which I took regularly until week 13. After ending the meds, I read many internet articles that indicated it could cause abnormalities in my unborn child if taken in early pregnancy. Should I be concerned about this? It seems that I was taking this medication during the most critical time of my baby's development. Any advice or reassurance would be greatly appreciated.
