I am currently 26 weeks pregnant. My mother, who is a Lab Technician, did a urinalysis on me today because I was thinking I have another UTI. Of course she called to tell me from the results there is definately infection. I went to her office to pick up the results and took them to my doctors office. I had called my doctors office this morning and the nurse asked me to bring the results for the doctor to see. Now, this is the 3rd UTI in a little less than 3 months. Is there anything they can do for recurrent UTI's. It seems like I take the medication and when it is done I have one week with no UTI then it is back again after that. I am waiting for my doctor to take a look at the results and give me a call back. Have I had enough UTI's to ask about being placed on a low dose antibiotic for the rest of my pregnancy to prevent another one?
