Jill, I have another suggestion for you. In a few weeks (usually at 20wks) you will probably be told by your OB to start taking an iron supplement. These tend to make you more constipated, but I would highly recommend one called Slow Fe. I was having problems with constipation _until_ I started taking this, and haven't had them since. In fact, my bowels are looser than normal most of the time. I had been taking metamucil (with less success) and haven't touched the stuff since. It's worth a try, and some extra iron even a few weeks early can't hurt. Good luck! Anon
