Trying to conceive with a 12.6, 21 day progesterone levelFrom: Amie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 3 Jul 2002 15:50:23 -0500 (CDT)
My husband and I have been trying to conceive our first child for the last 6 months. My Dr. took a 21 day progesterone level last week and my level was 12.6. The nurse at my Drs. office said that 10 is the level at which it is determined whether or not I ovulated. The nurse was unsure of any of the implications of a level of 12.6 since my Dr. is on vacation for the next week. So, I have a few questions: 1) Is this progesterone level considered low? 2) If it is low, is there any question about whether or not I ovulated? 3) If it is low, should I be concerned about my chances of conceiving (Can this level hinder conception and or prevent implantation)? 4) Should I discuss with my Dr. getting on a progesterone supplement? Thank you for your assistance, Amie
