RH- will NOT cause a miscarriage (most are due to chromosomal defects in the baby). However when you begin to bleed you should receive Rhogam within 72 hours. It is unlikely that you would become sentitized through a 1st trimester miscarriage even without Rhogam but most doctors give it because there is no reason to take the risk. I am RH- and have had 2 healthy kids as well as recently a natural miscarriage at 9 weeks (baby died at 6 weeks we found out at 7 weeks). Your feelings are perfectly normal - I felt/am feeling the same. It took us a year to get pregnant this last time long with Clomid and it was very hard to loose something you had worked so long and hard for. But I got my cycle back this week and right now and feeling hopeful that someday I will get pregnant again. Good luck, Nancy.
