Then this morning >i had gained 4 lbs...that seems like a lot of fluid is this normal? > >thanks in advance >Kathy The baby will be tested and treated, usually prophylactic antibiotic is given,because there is some risk of transferring infection to the baby, the most important thing is to be treated before labour. usually if membranes rupture with trickling it will be continuous necessitating vulval Pad(always underwear is wet). it is normal to have the same measure for sometime even in some cases when the baby is in transverse position the hight of the fundus is below average,so do not worry about that, also weight gain is variable and as long as you are attending your antenatal clinic and classes do not worry.U forgot to tell me how many weeks are u now
