Monitoring of Pre-eclampsia

I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and had my last ob visit three days ago. My blood pressure was 126/90, there was a "trace" of protein in my urine, I have had swelling of the ankles/feet (but not any in hands/face), and had gained 4 lbs. in 8 days. My doctor was only with me for about 3 minutes, and sent the nurse in to re-check my bp. The nurse had me lay down for 5 minutes, and rechecked bp- it went down to 126/84. At that point, I was free to go, and my next appointment is not for 2 weeks. My concern is that if my bp was only down after laying down, should we have discussed the need for any reduced activity/bedrest? I am concerned about the length of time that will pass before having this rechecked, but I also don't want to be overly concerned since my doctor didn't address this. I was put on a weekend of bedrest by a substitute doc 2 weeks ago after having pre-e symptoms and gaining 7 lbs. in 1 week, rechecked after the weekend by my own doc (bp went down to 130/86) and told I could resume normal activity. An opinion would be much appreciated- thanks
