hi i am 25 years old and this is my first preg. at 14 weeks preg. i went to the ER with a severe bleed that left as soon as it came. the bleed came back in the ER. they did an ultrasound and the baby was healthy and very active. the radiologist at the hospital said it was a slight tear in the edge of the placenta and put me on bed rest untill i could see my doc. my doc said the same thing. at 16 weeks another doc said that it was not the placenta but the uteris bleeding. he called it a retroplacental bleed. the second ultrasound at 14 weeks should a slight pool of blood. at 16 weeks the pool was much bigger. at 18 weeks the pool is getting much smaller. i have continued to spot on and off mostly in the morning when i first get up and go to the bathroom. how long can i expect to bleed? is there any negative affects to the baby long term? will i be able to go full term? please help
