Blighted ovum NOT due to chromosomal abnormalityFrom: Suzanne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 27 Jun 2002 10:28:20 -0500 (CDT)
This has been a very upsetting day. I had my third miscarriage 3 weeks ago. I had a D&C to remove a blighted ovum on June 4th. Chromosomal testing was performed on the tissue and they told me today that there were NO abnomalities. They even told me it was a boy. I don't know what to think now. What could be the reason for this miscarriage? Except for the miscarriages (Plus one very normal pregnancy and child)I seem to be normal. I keep reading that blighted ovum is usually caused by chromosmal problems- obviously not in my case. What are the reasons and what do I do???
