My sister just got back from her 10 week appt at her OB. They did an ultrasound and found fluid on the baby's spine. She lives in a very rural area so her access to top care is often limited. She is being referred to a specialist - but would really appreciate some information now. What is this a symptom of? Is it possible to still have a healthy baby or is it now a question of just how severe the birth defect may be? She had been trying to conceive for over two years and now her joy has been shattered.
