Re: A REPOST Vaginal birth after c-section vs. Elective repeat c-section/ VBAC vs. ERCFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 24 Jun 2002 12:21:22 -0500 (CDT)
Hi Barb...I just wanted to tell you that I had a VBAC, and I would never even consider having an elective repeat section (unless, of course, there was a reason I couldn't, i.e. breech, etc.). EVERYTHING about the birth was better. Just my humble opinion from someone who has had both. By the way, I did have to be induced because I was almost 2 weeks late. I waited it out as long as possible. I was induced with Prepidil and then got pitocin the next day. But what really got my labor going was when my doctor broke my water. Unfortunately I needed an epidural because with the pitocin it was soooo painful. I tried to go without, but just couldn't. I would definately recommend trying a VBAC. You really need a doctor who will support you with it, though. By the way, I am so sorry about your last baby.
