<1>I was induced early morning, after suffering an event with trying to break waters. By early arvo pethodine did nothing. By late arvo attempted epidural. I was given 11 (eleven) attempts at the epidural. Is "11 attempts" heard of? My body was severely full of fluid (I put on 34 kilos) and could have contributed to the + attempts<br> <2>Very early the next day, was 9cm dilated (still with drip). Was taken into theatre. Baby's head wasn't in the birth canal - but went ahead with a full length episiotomy, then tried (failed) vacuum and forceps (still only 9cm), ending in emerg c-section. Is it heard of to attempt vacuum & forceps when (still at 9cm) the baby isn't even in the birth canal.. ?
