13 weeks pg: how long for old blood to clear out?

Background:

I have been having slow, brown spotting since 9w4d. I have a (mostly) resected uterine septum with 2 very short horns and a possible adhesive band in the lower uterine segment. Cerclage placed at 11 weeks because of Hx of incompetent cervix.

I realize that some of this bleeding was or is from the stitches and the traction placed on the uterus during the cerclage. However I am still bleeding and the pace has picked up slightly since 1.5 weeks after the procedure. I had had a few days of respite. Baby is fine, slightly big for dates, OB & M/F specialist seem, er, sanguine about my prospects. No accumulation of blood visible on US. But the constant dark brown staining has me crazy.

My question:

How long does it take accumulated blood to clear out? It's been almost 4 weeks since this began.
