Re: Mouse in In-laws houseFrom: Victoria (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 19 Jun 2002 17:40:19 -0500 (CDT)
We recently bought a mobile home and found shortly after that we had mice in our vent system. Two got out and our cats helped get rid of them. We have not had a problem since. Sometimes one mouse is all that there is, but usually there are at least a couple present. If pets or small children are around the mouse problem you should be careful in how you(or your inlaws)get rid of them. We use traps that have doors that once the mouse is completely inside it cannot get back out. That way there are no toxic chemicals, no way for curious little fingers or paws to get hurt and it works for us. If your inlaws choose to use a poison make sure it is well out of reach of curious youngsters and pets. If they have pets advise them to call their vet before they decide what to do. As long as your inlaws clean up well after their temporary intruder and you and your child are good at washing your hands you should be okay.
