Subchorionic bleed size and bed restFrom: Angela (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 16 Jun 2002 19:56:00 -0500 (CDT)
I have read all the posts regarding subchorionic bleeds and find them very helpful. But I am unclear as to what is considered a large hemorrage. After some fairly heavy bleeding a SH was found (along with a heartbeat of 103 bpm) by US. It measures 2.8 x 1.5 x 1.9 cm. Is that considered a large, medium, or small hemorrage? What are the implications of size? Four days later I am on "modified bed rest" and am still bleeding, although not as much. Scheduled for another US in three days. Also, why is there such debate on the usefullness of bed rest. Is it better to be safe than sorry? Or is the best answer just to be sensible and not over strenuous?
